Gazprom says fulfilled liabilities to Ukraine on gas transit in 2021

MOSCOW, Dec 15 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom has fulfilled its 2021 natural gas transit contract obligations to Ukraine ahead of schedule, exports to Europe are going through different routes, the company said in a statement published on its official Telegram channel on Wednesday.

“Today, the company has fulfilled obligations under the transit contract with Ukraine. Since the beginning of the year, 40 billion cubic meters of Russian gas have been transported through its territory, which equals the amount under the transit contract for the entire year of 2021,” the statement read.

Gazprom continues reliable supplies of gas to its European partners through different routes, including the Ukrainian gas transportation system, the company said.
